Lucknow: `Janata Darshan`, an initiative by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to hear public grievances at his official residence twice a month, has been suspended till the next Assembly session, an official spokesman said here.
After Samajwadi Party`s return to power in the state, Akhilesh had decided to hold public meetings on every first and third Wednesday of the month. Meanwhile, all district magistrates, SSPs and SPs have been directed by the government to remain present in their offices between 10 am to 12 pm, hear public grievances and redress the same, an official spokesman said here. The officers have been asked to take special interest in meeting people, hearing their grievances and redressal apart from regular monitoring and review of the same, he said.
