New Delhi: Manchester United's teen sensation Anthony Martial swept the Premier league player of the month award for September. Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino got the manager of the month award for his side's excellent run in September.

Martial who was a summer recruit from Monaco, scored three goals and made an assist for United last month. Martial has impressed one and all with his pace, directness and ability to cut in also from wider positions.


Louis van Gaal will hope the Frenchman continues his good form when the team takes on Everton on Saturday. Martial has also impressed for France in the Euro qualifiers this month and will be raring to go against the Toffees.



Meanwhile, with a 100% win record in September, Mauricio Pochettino has been named Premier League manager of the month. The former Southampton manager saw his side produce victories against Sunderland, Crystal Palace and Manchester City.



Spurs face fellow Premier League rivals Liverpool in an enticing early kick-off on Saturday. Pochettino will be wary of the Reds who make a new beginning under manager Jurgen Klopp.
