13 TN fishermen return home from Sri Lanka
The fishermen, who put to sea in four boats, were arrested on January 11 when they were fishing off Kodiakarai coast.

Nagapattinam, who were arrested by the Sri Lankan Navy on
January 11 for allegedly fishing in Lankan waters, returned
here today following their release, officials said.
The fishermen, who put to sea in four boats, were arrested on January 11 when they were fishing off Kodiakarai coast and taken to Trincomalee port in Sri Lanka. All of them were freed yesterday noon and reached here early morning travelling in their fishing boats, officials said.
It was an emotional reunion for the fishermen as family members had gathered at the Nagapattinam port in large numbers to welcome them. Collector T Munusamy and Superintendent of Police G Ramar adorned them with shawls and interacted with them.
The released fishermen thanked authorities for the swift action in securing their release.
