Lucknow: In what can ring alarm bells in the Congress circle, Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Friday hinted at possible mid-term general elections. Addressing Samajwadi Party supporters during a function held on the occasion of Ram Manohar Lohia birth anniversary here, Mulayam Singh asked his party workers to be always ready for elections and continue to work for the welfare of the people. In the recently-held State Assembly Elections, Samajwadi Party won with a huge majority.
With his son, Akhilesh Yadav being designated as the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Mulayam is all set to keep his focus on New Delhi.
Recently, parties like Trinamool Congress, another UPA ally also advocated for mid-term polls.
