Monsoon showers bring relief to Hyderabadis
Giving relief from intense heat conditions prevailing over the last two months, rain-gods finally smiled on Hyderabad Sunday evening.

The Andhra Pradesh capital received the season`s first showers and the overall rainfall was recorded at 2.7 mm till 5:30 pm, the weatherman said. With today`s rain, the monsoon has covered the whole of Andhra Pradesh, the MeT office said.
Though scorching heat conditions have eased over the last few days, the rains eluded the city.
Meanwhile, the downpours resulted in water logging on roads leading to traffic jams at several places in the city. The city civic authorities have alerted their personnel to be prepared to meet any eventualities arising out of the rains.
