New Delhi: Hockey India League's Kalinga Lancers will hope to make a mark in this season's tourney and that can be helped under the guidance of notable coach Mark Hager.
Hager had been the chief coach of the New Zealand women's hockey team and have guided the eves to several honours. The experienced coach has some key Indian representation in Dharamvir Singh, Lalit Upadhyay and Devindar Walmiki.
The side has a good blend of youth and experience and experienced campaigners such as Moritz Fuerste alongside Aussie duo of Aran Zalewski and Glenn Turner.
The Lancers finished sixth in 2014 and ended up a place higher in fifth last season. This season will be an important one for the Lancers as they will want to finish in the top four at least to qualify for semis.
Lancers will hope they get off to a starting note and that will be pivotal when the side will open their campaign at home against Uttar Pradesh Wizards on January 18, 2016.
