New Delhi: Legendary Formula One racer Michael Schumacher's son Mick is all set to race in India for the very first time.

This will also be the 16-year-old's debut in the final round of the MRF Challenge, which is to take place at the Madras Motor Race Track (MMRT) this weekend.


Besides, this would also be Mick's maiden outside Europe tour, when he steps into the MRF F2000 car.


Though, he will not be the only star attraction as son's of leading F1 designer Adrian Newey and former Ferrari F1 driver Jean Alesi – Harrison Newey and Giuliano Alesi, will also be seen in action.


India's campaign will be led by local boy Tarun Reddy, who has had only one podium this season.


Mick's father, Schumi is still critically ill after suffering a serious head injury in December 2013 while skiing in France.


He was placed in a medically induced coma initially after which he was relocated from the hospital to his home where he continues to receive medical treatment.
