Nico Rosberg looking forward to race in Mexico
Nico Rosberg said he is looking forward to a win in Mexico to help him get past his difficulties in Texas.
Mexico City: Nico Rosberg said Thursday (October 29) he is looking forward to a win at the new Formula One race in Mexico to help him get past his difficulties in Texas last weekend.
"I have the opportunity to win the biggest prize in Mexico, and that is very important to me. I am going to try and win it, because that would be fantastic for me, and it would be great to finish the season well, and show my teammate that next time, it will be a lot more difficult (to beat me)."
Rosberg had been leading the race when he went wide seven laps from the finish in Austin, an error that allowed his teammate Lewis Hamilton to pass and take victory and the title.
With the event being the first Formula One race in Mexico in 23 years, Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto took a tour the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez with Bernie Ecclestone. He was also joined by the only Mexican driver on the F1 grid, Sergio Perez.
The Mexico Grand Prix is scheduled for November 1.
