Guwahati: The body of Karbi People`s Liberation Tigers (KPLT) Commander-in-Chief Blain Hanse, killed allegedly by an outfit member, was on Monday found in a remote area of Assam`s Karbi Anglong district, official sources said.
Hanse`s body was found buried in the remote Tarapung area under Chokihola police station of the district.
He was shot dead on May two in a camp inside the forest allegedly by an unidentified member of the militant outfit, the sources said. Hanse`s body was later buried inside the jungle and police launched a search operation in the area to trace him after locals informed them about the incident. Earlier, the outfit`s Chairman Nilip Ingti was killed in a joint operation by the army and police on April 19 last.
