Gangtok: A loaded pistol belonging to Sikkim Pradesh Congress Committee president and former chief minister Nar Bahadur Bhandari has gone missing from his house.
"I had gone out of station for two days on personal work and when I returned on Sunday night I could not find my pistol," Bhandari said. Bhandari, who lodged a police complaint regarding the theft yesterday, said the German-make pistol was loaded with seven bullets and kept at his Church Road house here.
Only his family members were present at the house when the theft occurred, he said. There were no sign of forced entry into the room, so it could be the handiwork of an insider, police said.
The license of the pistol is valid till 2013.
