This fixture is the 166th international match between the two countries.
New Delhi: The volatile relationship between the two neighbours may have robbed India-Pakistan cricket rivalry, and other assortment of bilateral competitions, but on Sunday they will engage in a high-octane hockey match at Kuantan in Malaysia.
The marquee game will be the highlight of the 2016 Asian Champions Trophy, and considering their past intense rivalry, Pakistani officials have already told their players to keep their emotions in check during Sunday's match. But that will dampen their spirits.
