"The Annual General Meeting of the Indian Olympic Association will be held on December 23, 2015 at 11.00am at Radisson Blue Hotel, Guwahati," IOA Secretary General Rajeev Mehta said in the circular sent to life presidents, heads of the National Sports Federations and state Olympic associations.
The items that have been listed in the agenda for the meeting include confirmation of the minutes of the last AGM in Chennai last year, adoption of Secretary General's Annual Report, passing of audited statement of accounts of 2014-15 and budget of 2016-17 and appointment of auditors and fixing for their remuneration.
The meeting also comes in the backdrop of the Sports Ministry asking presidents of All India Tennis Association and Judo Federation of India to step down on the ground that they have been elected heads of these NSFs without serving a cooling-off period under the provisions of the controversial Sports Code.
