Chavan dismisses talks of leadership change

New Delhi: Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan on Friday dismissed as "rumours" talk of leadership change in the state, a contention supported by the
AICC here.
"These are all rumours," Chavan told reporters here when asked about speculation of change of leadership in Maharashtra. Chavan met Congress president Sonia Gandhi as also Rahul Gandhi here to discuss organisational matters. When contacted, AICC incharge of Maharashtra Mohan Prakash said talks of change of guard in the state were only "gossip" by vested interests.
Chavan completes one year as Chief Minister of Maharashtra on November 11.
