Samsung India to sponsor Indian team to Youth Olympic Games
Samsung India Electronics on Friday inked an MoU with Indian Olympic Association (IOA) to become the official partner of the Indian Contingent to the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore starting on August 14.

inked an MoU with Indian Olympic Association (IOA) to become
the official partner of the Indian Contingent to the Youth
Olympic Games in Singapore starting on August 14.
The MOU was signed by IOA secretary general, Randhir
Singh and Samsung South West Asia president and CEO, J S Shin
here today.
"The 2010 Youth Olympic Games will help nurture young
sporting talent and create a strong foundation of excellence,"
said Randhir Singh.
"Support from sponsors like Samsung for this young team
will serve to give them strong encouragement," he added.
Samsung is a worldwide partner for the Youth Olympic
Games and in India, it is also the official sponsor of the
Indian team to the Asian Games in Guangzhou.
"We are very proud to be supporting the Indian team to
the first ever Youth Olympic Games. This initiative reflects
our longstanding commitment to the Olympic movement and our
strong belief in nurturing young talent in the country," Shin
said.
"We believe that Youth Olympic Games 2010 will provide
our young sporting talent with a platform to compete against
the best in the world and win glory," he added.
Samsung India`s association with the IOA commenced with
the 1998 Bangkok Asian Games and ever since the Company has
supported the Indian Contingent to the 2000 Sydney Olympics,
2002 Busan Asian Games, 2004 Athens Olympics, 2008 Beijing
Olympics and now the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games.
