`Jobber` James Ellsworth defeated WWE Champion AJ Styles at Smack Down? - WATCH
On October 11th, 2016 Daniel Bryan made this official announcement on Talking Smack after Smack Down went off the air.
New Delhi: James Ellsworth will face AJ Styles for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Smack Down next week. Yes, you read it right. Not Dean Ambore or John Cean, but Ellsworth will get a title shot at the WWE Champion.
On October 11th, 2016 Daniel Bryan made this official announcement on Talking Smack after Smack Down went off the air.
Renne Young and Bryan conducted an interview of Ellsworth on Talking Smack.
The former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan asked James about his backstory that people didn't know about. Ellsworth told that he has been wrestling for 14 years.
Here's the interview from Talking Smack-
Earlier on Smack Down, Styles came to the ring and addressed the San Jose crowd. AJ demanded his next opponent to make his way to the ring, to his surprise, Dean Amborse came out.
Ambrose said he is not finished with Styles yet and wanted to face him in a match, but WWE Champion denied his request and again called his opponent out.
To everyone's surprzise, James Ellsworth came out.
After watching this announcement from backstage, General Manager of Smack Down - Daniel Bryan came out and made Lunatic Fringe special guest referee for the match and warned Styles not to hit Ambrose during the match or else he will be fined.
This was one hell of an announcement from Bryan.
When Styles applied calf crusher on Ellsworth, Ambrose was busy talking to someone on his phone and he didn't notice that James tapped out. So, the match continued.
AJ hit Ellsworth with the Styles Clash but Dean stopped the count after 2 and hit Styles with his own move 'Dirty Deeds'.
WWE Champion survived the 3 count for the first time in the match but not for long, as Lunatic hit him with second Dirty Deeds and helped Ellsworth to pick up the win.
Watch the Lunatic match here:
Will this be the end of Styles as the Champion or will he survive this fall? Will Amborse be given another chance to become special guest referee by Daniel Bryan? Whatever maybe the outcome of this match on Smack Down next week, things definitely don't look good for the current WWE Champion.
