Yogeshwar Dutt`s Bronze medal from London Olympics might not be upgraded to Silver: Report
The star wrestler had earlier confirmed that his Bronze medal has been upgraded to Silver, after Kudukhov was tested positive for a banned substance.
New Delhi: Despite his first-round exit from Rio Olympics 2016, fans of ace Indian wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt were delighted after reports which claimed that his Bronze medal from London Olympics 2016 will be upgraded to Silver.
The move came after runners-up from the 2012 Games, deceased Besik Kudukhov of Russia, was found positive for dope test conducted by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
But, according to a report in The Times of India, the Russian Wrestling Federation possibly dashed the wrestler's hopes by claiming that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) had dropped the investigation against Kudukhov, who died in a car crash in 2013.
