Speaking to CNN's Don Riddell, she said that once Bolt retires, she is hopeful that he will settle down and get married.

"I would hope he'll settle down, get married and start his family," Jennifer said.

She further added that she was convinced about Bolt settling down as he has told her about doing so.

"I know he'll settle down because he has said it," she added.

"He told me many times that he's going to start his family."

Earlier in Rio, Bolt won his third successive gold in 100m final with a time of 9.81 seconds.

He is now eyeing two more gold medals in 200-meter sprints, as well as the 4×100m relay for a rare triple treble.

He won all three events in 2008 and 2012, and he's a favourite to create history.
