UP land sold to private parties: Sharad

Lucknow: Accusing the ruling BSP of selling off Uttar Pradesh`s land to private parties, Janta Dal (United) president Sharad Yadav on Friday asked the CBI to make public the names of people involved in various scams.
"Mayawati government has reduced the state`s land by nine percent by selling it to private operators. The state was
ruled by JPs and Chaddas in the past four years in which
nothing was done for the common man", Yadav told reporters
here.
Advising CBI to expose the names of masterminds involved
in the scams it is probing, Yadav said that names of those
behind the scams should be made public.
"If CBI did not have their (those involved in scams) names and addresses, they should come to me...I will provide them to the agency", he said.
On Congress, Yadav said that it was promising development of the state now but not saying anything regarding its 45 years rule in the state.
"The Congress is promising jobs..I want to ask them from where they will generate these jobs", he said adding that Congress` Vision 20-20 has no meaning as after eight years people will forget what they had said.
About the Samajwadi Party, he said that party had promised laptops and tablets but he felt that people should be provided water and electricity and the rest development would be automatically ensured.
On the "outsider" issue raised by Rahul Gandhi and countered by Uma Bharti, Yadav said that both were outsiders but this should not be an issue.
"Instead of showing kawalli between them (Rahul and Uma) serious issues should be taken care of", Yadav said.
Asked whether his presence would damage BJP, Yadav said that his party was here to make its presence felt and make an alternative.
About the possibility of an alliance, Yadav said that his party, which has so far announced candidates on 325 seats was in talks with Trinamool Congress and Socialist party for seat-sharing ahead of polls.
"We will contest on all 403 seats", he said predicting a hung assembly in the state.
About the party`s chief ministerial candidate, Yadav said that its question did not arise as state will be witnessing a hung assembly and his party wanted maximum seats to have it say in later stages.
To a question regarding reservation to minorities, Yadav said that Congress move would not be accepted in parliament and he would protest it.
