Ahead of the Dubai Tennis Championships, the Serbian said "With the results I`m having, I have to be optimistic. I try not to be over-confident, I have respect for the other players, I realise that I`m not the only one who wants to be the best in the world."

The Serbian will compete for the first time after winning his sixth Australian Open title three weeks ago in Melbourne.

He took a much-deserved break to be with his young family. Having won his first two tournaments of the year - the Qatar Open and his 11th Grand Slam title in Australia - the top-ranked Serb has been focusing on his family.

"It`s important to balance well to recharge and gain freshness and continue playing on high level. I`ve done it this way for the past five or six years, taking a pause after the Australian Open and returning for Dubai," he said.

Then the 28-year-old shared the joy of being a family man, with a wife and a son.

"Being a father and husband is also a lot of work, but it is also a lot of pleasure," he added.

The 11-time Grand Slam winner will start his quest for a fifth Dubai title against Tommy Robredo on Monday.
