Thrissur: Kerala Opposition leader VS Achuthanandan on Friday sought an apology from Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy and five of his cabinet colleagues for allegedly having shown disrespect to former Governor, the late M O H Farook who died on January 26.

Chandy and the ministers should apologise to the public for having participated in an official function before the seven-day mourning period came to an end, Achuthanandan told reporters here. Farook (74), former Puducherry Chief Minister, passed away at the Apollo Hospitals in Chennai where he was undergoing treatment since December last for kidney and other ailments. PTI
