Madurai: Seventy eight bull tamers and spectators, who were injured in Jallikattu (bull taming) held in Tiurchirappalli and Pudukottai districts, have been admitted to hospitals, police said today.

Six hundred bulls participated in the Jallikattu at Keezha Anbil in Tiruchi district in connection with a temple festival yesterday, police said, adding, 44 persons including 18 spectators were injured in the game.


In Pudukottai 34 persons sustained injuries.
