When the reporter asked him a question, Vijayabaskar said the 'specs look good on you, madam'. The report kept pressing him for answers and said "I have always worn specs, sir. What was discussed in the meeting?"

He again responded saying 'Alright, you look good.' The reporter added 'Sir, what were the resolutions passed at the meeting?' Vijayabaskar responded saying "They will give you the press release, madam. Our senior leaders will speak about this."

When she said what is the meaning 'if you respond this way?' He stopped and turned around. He then said :'You are beautiful, you are beautiful, you are beautiful.'

The entire incident was caught on camera. The Health Minister later apologised for his comments. He said that he was just trying to avoid a political question. He said that he was sorry if he hurt anybody. "I am very sorry. I see all reporters as my brother and sister," he was reported as saying.
