New Delhi: The CBI has filed a chargesheet against former chief engineer of Noida Authority Yadav Singh and his family members in connection with a disproportinate assets (DA) case, the investigative agency said on Tuesday.

The chargesheet was filed against Singh, his wife Kusum Lata, daughters Garima Bhushan and Karuna Singh, son Sunny Yadav and daughter-in-law Shreshtha Singh in a special court in Ghaziabad, a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) official said.

Besides Yadav Singh and his family members, a chartered accountant Mohan Lal Rathi has also been booked in the case.

The CBI has in its chargesheet also named three companies and a trust.

The CBI official said assets worth Rs 23 crore were 512 per cent over and above his known sources of income and acquired allegedly between April 2004 and August 2015. 

The agency action comes in connection with the case it registered on July 30, 2015, under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
