Jaswantnagar elections results 2017 will be declared on March 11.

The constituency holds significance as it went to polls after Shivpal lost a battle for control of the party to his nephew and chief minister Akhilesh Yadav.

Shivpal is pitted against two other Yadavs - BJP's Manish Yadav and the Rashtriya Lok Dal's Jagpal Singh Yadav.  The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has fielded Durgesh Shakya.

Of 3.65 lakh voters in the constituency, around 1.15 lakh are Yadavs.
