Research shows migraines caused by alterations in metabolite levels

Migraines are a pain in the head and in the hip pocket. Newly discovered genetic causes by researchers could lead the way to new preventative drugs and therapies. Three blood metabolite levels that increase migraine risk are lower levels of DHA, omega-3 and higher levels of LPE. Lower blood levels of a third metabolite named X-11315 also increased the risk of migraine.
