Official emissary R R Gopal will leave late on Thursday night on his fourth mission to the jungles to meet forest brigand Veerappan in a bid to explain the predicament of the Tamil Nadu and Karnataka governments in resolving the Rajkumar kidnap crisis, official sources said.
Gopal has been entrusted with the job of explaining to the outlaw the delay arising out of the tendency of proceedings before the Supreme Court against the release of detanus in Karnataka jails.

The editor of Tamil bi-weekly `Nakkheeran` has visited the jungles thrice since Veerappan abducted the celebrated Kannada filmstar on July 30. He returned empty-handed from his last mission on September 6. Though Gopal was reluctant to go this time, he was persuaded by the two governments to undertake the task of explaining the delay to the fugitive. Bureau Report
