Islamabad detains Jaish chief: Report
According to an Islamabad-based daily Ausaf, Jaish chief, Masood Azhar had been detained and his office and home telephones disconnected. It further reported that the authorities have also sealed Jaish offices.

Pakistan on Monday had frozen the accounts of the Lashkar-e-Taiba and Ummah Taamer-e-Nau’s assets and detained Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Maulana Masood Azhar.
Pakistan's State Bank spokesman Sayed Wasimuddin announced the decision that they have frozen the accounts of Lashkar-e-Toiba. ‘‘We have advised all the banks to freeze the accounts of these organisations,’’ he said in a statement, ‘‘The decision has been taken in view of the decision of US government’’.

In another development, the Lashkar chief Hafiz Mohammed Saeed announced he was stepping down. Meanwhile, Hafiz Mohammed Saeed said that he was stepping down to ‘save’ Pakistan from malicious Indian propaganda. He also added that the Lashkar had shifted all its offices to Indian Kashmir last month and would confine itself to the ‘freedom struggle’ in Kashmir. Abdul Wahid is now the new chief of Lashkar.
