KOLKATA: In a shocking incident, three undertrial prisoners made a dramatic bid to escape from police custody in West Bengal's East Midnapore district on Thursday.
According to reports, three notorious criminals hurled bombs on policemen while they were being taken to the court and fled from the scene.
Three history-sheeters, including Karna Bera, were being taken to Contai Court in East Midnapore when the policemen were attacked, according to ANI.
The entire incident was caught on camera.

The bomb attack on policemen triggered panic among the local residents present inside the court premises.
Taking advantage of the ensuing melee, the three criminals managed to flee from the scene.
While Bera was later caught by police, the other two managed to escape.
