The Citroen C3 hatchback was launched in the Indian market last year, and since then, the car has witnessed multiple price hikes. To be specific, this is the fourth time the prices of the hatchback have been increased in India. The new price hike will come into effect from 1 July 2023. As of now, the French car has a starting price of Rs 6.16 lakh, which goes up to Rs 8.25 lakh.

The car is sold in three variants in India i.e., Live, Feel, and Shine. Among these, Live is the most affordable variant sold in the Indian market while Shine takes the st of the most expensive trim. Currently, Shine comes priced at Rs 6.16 lakh, while Feel and Shine are priced at Rs 7.08 lakh ad Rs 8.25 lakh. (all prices ex-showroom)

The Citroen C3 is sold with two 1.2-liter petrol engines that are now RDE and E20 certified. The first one is a naturally aspirated engine that gives out 83 hp and works with a 5-speed manual transmission, and the second has a turbocharger with 110 hp and a 6-speed manual transmission. 


Besides the ICE powertrain, the C3 hatchback is also in with an electric powertrain as well. Furthermore, the French automaker recently introduced a new SUV bearing the same name, i.e., C3 Aircross. With this new model, the OEM targets the mid-size SUV segment and gets a piece of the market of models like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, and others.


Meanwhile, the Citroen C3 competes against models like  Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger in the Indian market.
