The Federations of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India and Nepal have signed two protocols on Information Technology and Agri-business to intensify bilateral cooperation in these areas through joint ventures and technical exchanges.
The past president of FICCI A S Kasliwal and the president of Federation of Nepal Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Pradeep Kumar Shrestha signed the protocols on Friday in the presence of Nepalese Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala in Hyderabad. The protocols were part of the efforts to build closer synergy between the two apex federations and came as a follow-up to the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) between the two countries, in April last, for setting up joint ventures in areas like construction industries, chemicals, paints and printing industries.
