Government will decide this month-end on the possibility of extending the Ramzan ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir before Eid-ul-Fitr, defence minister George Fernandes said on Sunday. We will look at it (ceasefire) when we reach the end of the present decision which is upto the Ramzan Eid, he told reporters in Mysore when asked whether the present ceasefire would be extended. Stating that some of the militants have been active in Jammu and Kashmir, Fernandes said but the ceasefire insofar as Pakistan firing and our responding to them everyday is concerned, there is no firing on either side. So far as the borders are concerned, there has been no firing, he said. Bureau Report
