Trade analyst and movie critic Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the latest Box Office collections.

He tweeted:

“#TumhariSulu is speeding towards ₹ 30 cr mark... Sun to be higher than Sat... [Week 2] Fri 1.25 cr, Sat 2.35 cr. Total: ₹ 23.38 cr. India biz (sic).”

In the comedy-drama Balan plays a radio jockey again after Rajkumar Hirani’s Lage Raho Munna Bhai starring Sanjay Dutt.

The film has a recreated version of Sridevi’s super-hit song Hawa Hawaii sung by Kavita Krishnamoorthi. And Vidya has added her own flavour while keeping the original charm intact.

Also featuring Neha Dhupia, Malishka Mendonsa, Tumhari Sulu has helped Vidya reclaim her share at the Box Office.

Vidya hasn’t had a great time at the Box Office for quite some time now. Her previous releases – Begum Jaan, Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh, Te3n, Hamari Adhuri Kahani, Bobby Jasoos, Shaadi Ke Side Effects and Ghanchakkar couldn’t create an impression in terms of business.

The power house of talent is one of those actresses who haven’t worked with any of the Khans – Shah Rukh, Aamir or Salman – yet. She shoulders the entire weight of the film single-handedly and doesn’t depend on an A-List actor to share the responsibility.

Thankfully, for Vidya, Tumhari Sulu, produced by T-Series and Atul Kasbekar's Ellipsis Entertainment has played a pivotal role in resurrecting her innings at the Box Office. Word of mouth publicity and absence of new films at the Box Office have helped Tumhari Sulu garner moviegoers’ attention.
