New Delhi: FMCG firm Bajaj Corp today reported a 23.94 percent rise in standalone net profit at Rs 58.29 crore for the second quarter ended September 30.

It had reported a net profit of Rs 47.03 crore in the July-September quarter a year ago, the company said in a BSE filing.


Bajaj Corp's net sales during the quarter under review was up 3.46 percent to Rs 196.14 crore as against Rs 189.57 crore in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal.


Its total expenses were also up 3.40 percent to Rs 130.66 crore as against Rs 126.36 crore.


Shares of Bajaj Corp were trading 1.09 percent lower at Rs 396.10 apiece on BSE.
