New Delhi: Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday said that Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in NCR will be sold at concessional rates during odd hours of the day to reduce rush at CNG pumps.

It may be noted that Qatar has agreed to lower the price of gas it sells to India on a long-term contract by about USD 6 billion to reflect the slump in global energy rates and also waived the Rs 12,000-crore penalty for 'short-lifting' in 2015.

It may also be recalled that the ambitious odd-even scheme in the national capital region, set to roll out from January 1, will have out of its ambit CNG vehicles.
