New York, Sept 23: Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf at an upcoming summit of the Organisation of Islamic Conference would suggest an action plan to redress the problems plaguing the grouping. The President would make some concrete suggestions on the improving the general functioning of the OIC, Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri told reporters in response to a question on Musharraf's luncheon meeting with OIC delegates, who are here for the UN General Assembly. Observing that the OIC members in general were disappointed with the overall performance of the organisation, Kasuri said, "There is an imperative need for an honest self-analysis and to ask the Islamic leaders to go through the process of (self analysis) to understand as to why the Muslim are lagging behind." "The President is going to make some concrete suggestions in this respect on the general functioning of the OIC," Kasuri was quoted as saying by Pakistan's official APP newsagency.
