Sensex regains 26,000 mark, Nifty tops 7,900 level in closing

New Delhi: The BSE benchmark Sensex regained 26,000 mark while the NSE Nifty topped 7,900 mark in closing trade on Tuesday.
Sensex climbed 328.37 points to close at 26,007.30 and Nifty surged 107.60 points to 7,962.65.
Sentiment turned for the better, in tandem with a higher opening in Europe, with all eyes now on the US Federal Reserve as it prepares for its latest policy meeting.
