New Delhi: Recently WhatsApp for Android was updated with a function that allows to send any file, such as PDF, Zip, Word, PowerPoint and Excel files, as well as images and videos.

Making the user experience better, one can send attachments in one's messages just like one sends with emails.

So how can the function of sharing files be dangerous?

Well! This new feature of allowing to send and receive documents indeed makes your mobile vulnerable to various viruses.

And that is when one doesn't deactivate the option to automatically download attachments.

To stay safe while sharing files, all you have to do is to deactivate the automatic download by going to the Settings function.
