Rain stopped play during the 25th over when India were 147 for the loss of two wickets. This is the second time rain has spoiled the moods of many cricket fans. The first clash between India and Pakistan on September 2 was also washed out due to rain.
India made one forced change to their playing eleven as Shreyas Iyer is ruled out due to back spasms and KL Rahul came in as his replacement. India and Pakistan have met each other 18 times in the continental tournament. In these matchups, India have secured victory in nine games, while Pakistan emerged triumphant on six instances, with three matches concluding without a definite result. Rahul batted for 28 balls before the rain arrived scoring 17 runs with two fours. It will be an interesting picture when he comes out to bat again if the weather conditions allow.
