In terms of safety, the Kia EV6 comes equipped with 8 airbags as standard along with All Wheel Disc Brakes, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Multi Collision Brake Assist (MCBA), Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Brake Assistant System (BAS), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Front and Rear parking sensors and ISOFIX Child Anchor.

The Kia EV6 features an all-black interior with black suede seat and vegan leather bolsters. The Kia EV6 will be available in India with a choice of five exterior colours – Moonscape, Snow White Pearl, Runway Red, Aurora Black Pearl, and Yacht Blue.
It gets a combined output of 325 PS and 605 Nm with a fly by wire automatic transmission. The company claims EV6 can do 0-100 kmph in just 5.2 seconds and has a top speed limited to 192 kmph.
The Kia Ev6 gets a boot is rated at 520-litre and there’s also a 52-litre storage space upfront below the hood.
Kia EV6 has received 350 bookings ahead of the launch of the electric car. However, Kia India has limited the sales to only 100 units for 2022 and will increase the quota for the country seeing the response.
Kia EV6 will come with a battery warranty of 8 years/ 1.6 lakh km. A 24/7 support will be provided to EV6 buyers.
The Kia EV6 will get multi level regenerative braking, including iPedal mode, that brings the EV to a halt without pushing the brake pedal.

The EV6 can be charged upto 80% in just 18 min using 800 V charger

Kia EV6 Powertrain
The highlight of the Kia EV6 is its battery technology! The Kia EV6 gets a 77.8 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 528 km (WLTP cycle)
The Kia EV6 gets a coefficient of drag of 0.28, among the lowest in electric cars globally (even lower than Tesla Model Y), giving it an aerodynamic profile, enhacing range and performance.
The Kia EV6 is being launched in India as a testbed to understand the electric mobility market in India. Kia says they will bring mass electric cars soon, and will become electric centric brand by 2025.
Kia EV6 is based on the Hyundai Group's eGMP platform (Electric Global Modular Platform), which is the first dedicated electric vehicle platform for Hyundai and Kia vehicles globally. The eGMP platform is underpinning the Kia EV6 as well as the soon to be launched Hyundai Ioniq 5 in India.

The Kia EV6 doesn't have a direct competitor, but will go up against the recently launched BMW i4 which was launched in India recently at Rs 69.90 lakh and gets 590 km range. Both the cars bridge a big gap between mass market and luxury cars. Earlier, there was no EV between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 1 crore in India.

Kia India will launch its first ever electric car in India - the Kia EV6 - which will be available in a limited batch of 100 units.
Kia India will launch its first ever electric car globally - the Kia EV6 in India today, making it the South Korean brand's first electric car in India as well. The 2022 Kia EV6 is based on the company's dedicated eGMP platform. Kia India, the country's fourth largest carmaker earlier opened the bookings for the EV6 in India at an amount of Rs 3 lakh and the EV will be imported in India in a limited batch with only 100 units up for grabs on the first come first serve basis. The Kia EV6 promises world class features and safety tech, high range and the car will serve as a testbed for Kia to understand the electric mobility space in the country.
2022 Kia EV6 Expected Price
Kia India will launch the EV6 in the first week of June, and ahead of the launch, we reviewed the Kia EV6. The EV is expected to be priced above Rs 50 lakh in India for base variant and can go upto Rs 60 lakh for top-spec version, which is the AWD variant.
Kia EV6 Colour Options

Kia EV6 Charging
The car will be available in India in exclusive GT Line trims and comes fully equipped with innovative technologies like the multi-charging system, the world’s first charging system that operates with both 400V and 800V chargers without the need of an additional controller. The 800 V charger can charge the vehicle from 10% to 80% in as little as 18 minutes using a 350KWh charger.

The India version of the EV6 packs the 77.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, generating 229 PS electric power in 2WD and a thrilling 325 PS in AWD variant. On a single full charge, the car can travel up to 528 kilometres as per the WLTP combined cycle. The acceleration of the Kia EV6 stands at 5.2 seconds for a 0-100 km/h run.
