Four labourers feared killed in bunker collapse
Kota, Sept 25: Four labourers were feared killed and two others injured after three coal bunkers of the recently constructed sixth unit of the thermal power station here collapsed on them today, official sources said.

The mishap occurred at around mid noon in the 195 MW unit, which was dedicated to the nation by Congress president Sonia Gandhi early this month, when four of its six bunkers came crashing down from a height of 80 ft, the sources said. The two injured workers, who immediately ran for life on being hit by the rubble, were admitted to a local hospital, they said. A massive search operation has been launched to locate the four labourers believed to be trapped under the debris of the bunkers, the sources said.
Six cranes have been pressed into service to clear the rubble running into over 40 tonnes, they said.

Meanwhile, power generation from the sixth unit was
stopped immediately, an official release said adding top
officials of the State Power Generation Ltd and the local
authorities were supervising the rescue operation.
