Pune, Nov 02: Australian cricket coach John Buchanan today said the team management would asses Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar at the end of the ongoing TVS Cup triangular tournament before India's tour of Australia starting next month. "In the general sense if we don't take Sachin's wicket early, he will go after the bowling the other Indian batsmen build the innings around him," Buchanan said here.
"Hence it is extremely crucial for any team to get Sachin out as early as possible and hope that the Indian innings crumbles after his exit," he added.
"It is too early for us to assess Sachin but we hope to do so at the end of the tournament before the Indians start their 82-day tour of Australia next month," Buchanan said.
When asked, who other than Sachin the Aussies were wary of, Buchanan said, "All the Indian batsmen are talented but we are wary of V V S Laxman, who can swing a match in his team's favour on his day," he added. Bureau Report
