Hyderabad, Feb 27: TDP supremo and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu today exhorted his partymen to 'expose the hollowness' of the opposition Congress' promise of free power to farmers. People are not in a position to believe the impractical promises being made by Congress. It is very clear that the opposition party is only trying to cheat people by misguiding them, Naidu said while addressing a meeting of Telugu Desam Legislature Party (TDLP) here.

Naidu interacted with his party legislators, in the midst of the assembly session, and gave them pep talk on the task ahead for them during the ongoing 'janmabhoomi' programme, a people-centred rural development works based on the concept of self-help and community participation.

The current round of janmabhoomi is focussed on drought relief works with mlas being asked to proceed to their constituencies, during the week-end recess and monitor the works.
“We need to counter the opposition campaign on drought relief works and the only way to do it effectively is to reach out to people and convince them about our commitment,” the TDP supremo said.
He also asked TDP MLAs and ministers to be in constant touch with their respective district administrations and closely monitor drought relief works.
