Jalandhar, Nov 08: The challan against former Chief Minister and Shiromani Akali Dal chief Parkash Singh Badal in the alleged disproportionate assets case has been finalised and would be submitted in the court next week, Punjab Vigilance Bureau chief director A P Pandey said today. "The challan has been finalised and sufficient evidence has been collected to prove allegations against Badal in the court of law and the same will be submitted in the court next week, he told reporters here.

Asked about the exact amount of property owned by Badal and his family as per the chargesheet, Pandey refused the divulge the details.

"I will not disclose the exact amount, but after filing of the chargesheet everything will be clear", he said. Regarding the reported dispute with one of the Delhi- based evaluators, Govil and associates, Pandey said there was no dispute at all.

"We have called over ten private companies for the job and found that Govil and associates were only insurance evaluators and do not suit our purpose, which is why we did not engage them," he said. Bureau Report
