Schedule for Assembly polls likely next week: Advani
Ahmedabad, Sept 28: The election schedule in five states where Assembly polls are due later this year is likely to be announced by the Election Commission next week.
Ahmedabad, Sept 28: The election schedule in five states where Assembly polls are due later this year is likely to be announced by the Election Commission next week.
An indication to this effect was given by Deputy Prime
Minister L K Advani, when he said the Commission is likely to
take a decision on holding assembly polls in two to three
days.
"We are awaiting some indication from the Election Commission about the assembly polls as we have to fix dates for Parliament session," he said.
On deployment of central para-military forces during the polls, he said the requirement of the Commission would be met for smooth conduct of free and fair polls in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Chattisgarh and Mizoram. Bureau Report
