Kolkata, July 06: Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee today accused the CPI (M) and Congress of together trying to split her legislature party, which is faced with dissension over the issue of the boycott of the current session of the West Bengal Assembly. "CPI (M) and Congress are coming together in an attempt to break my party through administrative power and horse-trading," Mamata told Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani. "In Parliament, it has always been the practice to evolve a consensus. But here the ruling party doesn't even bother to talk to the opposition, even after one and a half months of our boycott," the TC chief told Advani. She alleged that there was 'no democracy' in West Bengal as the people were not allowed to cast their votes freely.
"People in Jammu and Kashmir can vote freely but not in West Bengal. Atrocities are being committed on political workers belonging to the opposition in the state," she alleged. Bureau Report
