Mumbai, Apr 22: ABN Amro Bank and Indian Airlines joined hands on Monday to launch a co-branded debit card in association with MasterCard International. This is the second co-branded debit card in India, the first being a card from Citibank and IndianOil. Cardholders can save on airline ticket expenses through a 10% discount on tickets purchased at the booking offices of IA and its authorised ticketing agents and can also gain free membership to IA’s frequent-flyer programme. ABN Amro debit cardholders earn one reward point for every Rs 100 withdrawn or deposited over the ATM and two reward points for every Rs 100 spent at merchant establishments.
These points can be converted into air miles. In addition, cardholders could get to travel by executive class through free upgrade vouchers. “The cornerstone of our consumer banking business rests on providing superior products and services designed to add value for our customers,” said Romesh Sobti, country head, ABN Amro Bank.
