Bhopal, July 06: The Madhya Pradesh Minister for Scheduled Castes Welfare, Dr Vijay Laxami Sadho, has accused BJP of hampering efforts at ensuring social justice to the people of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in the state. Strongly objecting to the allegation of the BJP of creating class conflict in the state, Dr Sadho in a statement expressed apprehension that the BJP is conspiring to sponsor and publicise such incidents for political gain.

She urged the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Digvijay Singh for a high level enquiry into these incidents and added that BJP has always been against SC, ST, Other Backward Classes (OBC), women and minorities. "The BJP spared nothing to ensure that OBC did not get reservation. It is due to this mind set that now they are opposing the state government's decision to grant 27 per cent reservation to OBC by saying that it is not constitutional and is an election stunt", she said. For the first time in the country, Madhya Pradesh has taken a number of steps for the welfare of SC and ST that are being acclaimed throughout the country.
