Lucknow, Apr 05: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee will address an election meeting in Lucknow today, the day Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani reaches the state capital during his ``Bharat Uday Yatra". Vajpayee will welcome the yatra in his Lok Sabha constituency and later both the leaders will address the election meeting.
BJP`s state unit in-charge Kalraj Mishra here said the ``Bharat Uday Yatra`` will enter the state in the first phase at Jhansi on March 22 and will cover three LS constituencies in the Bundelkhand region.
In the second phase, it will enter from Agra on April 4 and reach Bihar on April 6 after passing through Lucknow, Ayodhya and Kushinagar.
Mishra, however, criticised the opposition parties for raising a hue and cry over the yatra. ``Advani has already clarified that the yatra would only highlight the achievements of the NDA government, then why such apprehensions,`` he said. Charging the opposition parties with conspiring to trigger communal disturbances in the backdrop of the yatra, the BJP Rajya Sabha member said, ``They would be responsible if the environment of the country was disturbed.``
