Garhwa (Jharkhand), Nov 10: Four activists of the banned People's War Group (PWG), including its self-styled area commander, were arrested from Garhwa district, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided a hide-out last night near Bhawanathpur police station and took the militants and the commander Bharat Singh Kharwar into custody, police said.
Three regular rifles, 3 guns, several rounds of ammunition, besides Naxalite literature were recovered from their possession.
Kharwar and his colleagues were wanted in connection with several criminal offences for a long time, police said. Bureau Report
