Lucknow, Dec 22: Uttar Pradesh Shiv Sena today served a 15 days notice on Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray to ''correct himself'' and stop issuing ''unconstitutional statements'' or else the state unit would be forced to delink with him. Talking to newspersons here, state vice-chairman Babu Mishra alleged that of late Mr Thackeray had emerged as a leader of Maharashtra rather than a national leader of the Hindu society. ''He has proved himself as a regional Maharashtra leader than a national figure to his followers,'' he added. Mr Mishra said if Balasaheb failed to evolve from regionalism, the state unit would revolt against his leadership and form an alternate Shiv Sena in Uttar Pradesh to begin with. ''UP Shiv Sis also not opposed to the proposed friendly cricket tie between India and Pakistan at Agra,'' he claimed saying some dissidents in the organisation were responsible for the defacing of the cricket pitch in that city recently.

He also resented recent incidents where Sena workers allegedly assaulted some north Indian youths who had arrived in Mumbai for interviews.
''Balasaheb does not want people from outside to work in Maharashtra but wants investment in the state from other parts of the country,'' the Sena leader observed.
